The Oakland California Temple was announced January 23 1961 and the site was dedicated May 26 1962; the Temple was completed and dedicated on November 17-19 1964. The Oakland temple is the 13th working temple at 95,000 square feet on 18.3 acres. It has four ordinance rooms and seven sealing rooms.
